Health Insurance Open Enrollment for 2027 is mandatory for all benefit eligible employees. If you are benefit eligible, you will need to log into the enrollment system and confirm or decline your elections for the 2027 benefit year during the enrollment window of Oct 19 – Oct 30 at 5:00 pm.
Open Enrollment will be online through Employee Navigator. You can access the system anytime to review your current coverage or enter a qualifying event. The Open Enrollment process will only be available between October 19, 2026 and October 30, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Elections made during Open Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2027.
The District has kept plan changes to a minimum. In accordance with annual contract negotiations, there will be no increase in deductibles, co-pays, or out-of-pocket maximums for 2027. However, as agreed, employee health premiums will increase by 5% to mitigate rising costs of health insurance claims. The District’s contribution to health insurance will increase as well by 3.6%. In addition, EMI Health is adjusting their dental and vision rates for 2027. Dental rates will increase by 7.9 % and vision rates will decrease by 8.3 %.

There are minimal changes to the District’s benefits for 2027. In addition to the Virtual Benefit Fair, we will have an in person Benefit Fair and Enrollment Clinic. If you have questions this will be a great opportunity to speak directly with insurance representatives. We will also be available to you help with the enrollment process.
