Adobe Creative Cloud provides educators access to  creative tools such as Adobe Express, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and more to prepare students for the future.

Canva is a free online graphic design design tool where you can create presentations, posts, documents, logos, animations, videos, and more. Canva provides templates to get you started for whatever project you’re designing.

Canvas is our learning management system. Use it to communicate with your class, assign work, & monitor progress.

Clever is a digital platform that allows one place for resources and communication. Clever is used mainly as a single-sign on tool for elementary levels to help students login to other platforms.

Derivita is math software that allows educators create and deliver math assignments through an easy to use integration with Canvas. With built-in digital tools tailored to math instruction it is an essential part of every CSD math classroom.

CSDdocs is Canyon’s Google Drive. Go here to create Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Jamboards, Sites, and more to engage your students.

LANschool is a classroom management software that allows educators to help manage 1:1 devices and maximize collaboration through screen share and live demonstrations.

Nearpod helps to engage students by adding interactive activities to your lessons like polls, collaboration boards, and game-based quizzes.

Newsela provides articles with appropriate reading levels for students. Students can then annotate text and/or answer questions.

ParentSquare is used for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number.

Lucie Chamberlain

Alta View Elementary

If a movie about super teachers were ever made, Lucie Chamberlain would be a prime candidate for a leading role. Fortunately for her kindergarten students at Alta View Elementary, she already thrives in a supporting role for them. Parents thank her for being a “super teacher.” She is also described as an “amazing colleague.” Whether students need help in the classroom or from home while sick, Lucie goes above and beyond to help them learn, overcome fears, and feel important and cared for. Lucie is the reason a number of kids went from hating school to loving it, according to parents. The way she exudes patience, sweetness, positive energy, and love for her students with special needs melts is appreciated and admired. One parent noted: “Both my kids wish she could be their teacher forever.” Another added:  “She treats every student like their learning and their feelings are her priority.” Super teacher, indeed!
