The Description of ALS Documents provides an at-a-glance description of each of the forms required for the various processes within the Alternative Language Services.  Please review often as a way to ensure each school remains compliant with Federal and State guidelines.

ALS Services Information

Consultation Services

  • ALS Consultation Model
  • ALS Student Consultation Request (Google Form)
    • For teachers and coaches: To contact an ALS specialist about student performance, EL supports, interventions, and any other questions you may have about an English Learning (EL) student.
  • ALS Team Referral
    • For SSTs: To involve the ALS team when an EL student has been referred for academic, speech/language, or behavior evaluations. 
    • For Special Education Teachers: When adding services for an EL student with an IEP.
  • Consultation Request for an EL Student with an IEP.
    • For Special Education Teachers: To involve the ALS team when an EL student with an IEP is being re-evaluated and services are not being added, or if you have other questions about the student and his/her services.

  • Welcome Books:
    • Welcome Books are a resource for newcomers that provide pictures of the school, important people and places within the school, and useful phrases in both English and the student’s native language. ALS is happy to provide editable Welcome Book templates in the following languages:

      Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, French, Kinyarwanda, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Somali, Swahili, and Vietnamese.
