Qmlativ

Qmlativ is Skyward’s next-generation information system that brings together student data, finance, HR, and operational tools in a single, modern platform. It provides a redesigned interface, streamlined workflows, powerful reporting, and robust security to support the day-to-day work of schools and departments.

As we shift from Skyward’s classic systems to Qmlativ’s redesigned interface and enhanced tools, users can expect updated workflows, improved reporting and data management, and strengthened security features. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, well-supported transition for all stakeholders.

Frequently Asked Questions

With the transition to Qmlativ, Skyward business users will experience several changes, including:

  1. New System Interface: Qmlativ features a redesigned interface that will require users to adapt to a new layout and navigation. Training will be provided to help you familiarize yourself with the updates.

  2. Updated Business Processes: As part of the migration, business processes may be updated to take full advantage of Qmlativ’s new features, which could involve changes in how certain tasks are performed, from finance to human resources.

  3. Improved Reporting and Data Management: Qmlativ offers more advanced reporting tools and better data management capabilities, which will allow for quicker access to important financial and HR data. Expect to see more dynamic and customizable reports.

  4. Enhanced Security and User Access: There will be new security protocols and user access configurations, ensuring that the right people have the right access to sensitive information.

  5. Training and Support: To ensure a smooth transition, you’ll have access to specialized training modules, tutorials, and the Help Center for ongoing support. The Learning Account (TLA) will also provide hands-on experience with the system.

  6. Potential System Downtime: As with any major upgrade, there may be periods of system downtime or limited access as data is migrated and configurations are finalized. Your patience during these times will be appreciated.

Overall, while the transition to Qmlativ will require some adjustment, the new system’s features will ultimately streamline business operations, enhance data management, and improve reporting capabilities.

Qmlativ will increase system performance, reduce steps to perform tasks, create more accessible data reporting and increase data security.

Clean-up of data: The HR, Business Services, and IT teams are working on clean-up of data in Skyward to migrate current and high-quality data.

System Setup and Configuration: Configure Qmlativ to match the district’s specific operational needs. This could involve setting up user roles and permissions, configuring financial modules, student records, HR functions, and other key system components.

Training: Focus group members are tasked with reviewing the Qmlativ training resources to assist with mapping out the training plan for all users in the district. Training will be provided to users prior to migration.

System Testing: Conduct extensive testing to ensure Qmlativ functions as expected. This may include unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and resolve any bugs or issues before going live.

Qmlativ Business (BIS) will be live and available for all users April 15th, 2025

Qmlativ Student (SIS) will be live and available for all users July 13th, 2026

As part of training, prior to going live, users will have access to a non-active Qmlativ site to learn how to use the data system.

Lucie Chamberlain

Alta View Elementary

If a movie about super teachers were ever made, Lucie Chamberlain would be a prime candidate for a leading role. Fortunately for her kindergarten students at Alta View Elementary, she already thrives in a supporting role for them. Parents thank her for being a “super teacher.” She is also described as an “amazing colleague.” Whether students need help in the classroom or from home while sick, Lucie goes above and beyond to help them learn, overcome fears, and feel important and cared for. Lucie is the reason a number of kids went from hating school to loving it, according to parents. The way she exudes patience, sweetness, positive energy, and love for her students with special needs melts is appreciated and admired. One parent noted: “Both my kids wish she could be their teacher forever.” Another added:  “She treats every student like their learning and their feelings are her priority.” Super teacher, indeed!
