If you live outside the neighborhood boundary of the school you wish to attend, welcome! We invite you to apply for admissions by submitting a School Choice Open Enrollment request.

New Student Enrollment
To enroll your child in a Canyons School, please gather the following documents:
birth certificate
An original or a certified copy of a birth certificate is required for any child.
immunization
Be prepared to provide proof of immunization against communicable diseases.
Proof of Residency
Exceptions for required forms will be made for McKinney-Vento students who are displaced or experiencing homelessness.
legal name
Your child’s legal name (the name that appears on the birth certificate) will be used on all official school records.
Steps to Becoming a Canyons District Student
Enter your home address.
Complete the “New Student Enrollment Request”.
To register in a Canyons District school, you must first enroll your child using our secure, Skyward Family Access portal. Students who are new to Canyons, have never attended one of our schools, and do not have a Skyward Family Access account, will need to create one by selecting Temporary Account for New Student Enrollment.
If you already have a Skyward Family Access account, or a temporary account has already been created, please click New Student Enrollment to be taken to the login screen. If you need to have your Family Access password reset, please use the Forgot Your Login/Password option on the login screen or call the school one of your children is currently attending.
Apply to transfer to a different school with our Choice Choice / Open Enrollment portal.
You will receive instructions in August for registering for school online. Registering is different than enrolling.
Enrollment is the process of being accepted into Canyons School District—this includes submitting required documentation and selecting a school or program.
Registration happens after enrollment and involves choosing specific classes, updating contact information, and confirming attendance for the school year.
