Teaching is a demanding job, which makes achieving a healthy work-life balance all the more important. Canyons District’s administrative leave and sick bank policies are designed to provide employees with some peace-of-mind in the event of a major illness or accident.
By default, all employees donate some of their sick days each year to Canyons District’s sick bank, which provides additional days of paid leave to employees who have a serious, unanticipated long-term illness. At the beginning of each school year, employees are given the option of opting out of the sick bank. But if they do so, they are not eligible to draw upon it.
