MCOT • Mobile Crisis Outreach team
UNI MCOT provides free, prompt, face-to-face response to any resident of Salt Lake County who is experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Available all-day and all-night. The organization also offers consultation and support to individuals, families and schools.
Salt Lake County Youth Services: Counseling Services
Services include immediate crisis counseling for youth and families, as well as short-term 60-day counseling intervention, and longer term mental health counseling. Longer-term services are available for Medicaid-qualified youth.
Salt Lake County Youth Services: Juvenile Receiving Center
Salt Lake and West Jordan locations
Youth and families that do not have an appointment but need to speak with someone right away can access free crisis counseling by phone or in person at the Juvenile Receiving Center. This all-day and all-night service is for 8- to 17-year-old children.

Available daily from 1 to 8 p.m. MST. This service provides support for students (primarily LGBTQ+ students) in crisis, feeling suicidal, or in need of a safe and judgement-free place to talk.
UNI’s mental and behavioral health services focus on treating all aspects of the individual to achieve balance in mental health. Specialists treat conditions like anxiety, eating disorders, major depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and substance abuse/chemical dependency for all ages.

Clinicians provide prompt and compassionate crisis intervention, suicide prevention, information, and referrals as well as follow-up services, emotional support, and assistance to individuals experiencing emotional distress or psychiatric crisis. This service is available all-day and all-night.
