Whether they’re finding solutions to technology challenges or waking before dawn to prepare hearty meals, remove snow from parking lots, and deep-clean classrooms, the role of the Education Support Professional is to support Canyons’ students in becoming college-and career-ready.
They do it with pride and, during this pandemic year when schools have needed to lean on them more than ever, they’ve done it without complaint.
Canyons District celebrates Education Support Professionals Day on Nov. 18, 2020. Join us in recognizing the more than 2,000 employees throughout the District who drive buses, serve food and manage the phones, and every other aspect of education outside of the classroom.
These invaluable service providers include bus drivers, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals, custodians, school secretaries, nurses, computer tech support experts, security guards, hall monitors, and maintenance people. They represent roughly a third of the education workforce, and schools simply couldn’t function without them. #WeLoveOurESPs
