The Utah State Board of Education has coordinated the development of these courses for students participating in DLI. Courses are available for K-8 students in Chinese, French, and Spanish. Each course has been developed in Canvas and is organized by weekly modules. Modules include:
- 3-4 lessons ranging from 15-60 minutes
- Lesson times will gradually increase to a full hour of engagement with the language
- The lessons were designed to be independent and asynchronous (with the exception of secondary Chinese courses–these courses will be led by a Chinese teacher)
- Lesson content includes highly supportive tutorials and practice activities
- Modules will continue to be added each month throughout the school year

Chinese
The 1st- 6th grade courses are open Canvas courses. Click on the grade level link to access the course. The language and Culture, History, and Media courses for 7th and 8th grade will be taught by an experienced Chinese teacher from Washington County.
