The ramp-up calendar for the new configuration is not set in stone. However, we have come up with the following tentative timeline to assist our employees with their planning.
Oct. 16 to Nov. 30, 2012: New High School HiringPost and begin hiring new high school’s department heads and critical positions, and advertise positions for internal transfers and external applicants.
Dec. 3, 2012 to Mar. 15, 2013: Reconfiguration Teacher Transfer Window
This window is the first of two transfer windows. The Reconfiguration Teacher Transfer Window applies to current licensed employees interested in any other job openings other than the critical positions at the new high school. Only current employees can apply for positions during this window. Each position will be posted for three days only. Positions will be posted at various times during this window. The CSD Human Resources Department will begin posting openings on the following schedule:
Dec. 3, 2012: High school
Jan. 22, 2013: Middle school
Feb. 20, 2013: Elementary school
March 20, 2013: Obligatory Transfer PlacementsBeginning on this date, all counselors and teachers who have been named on the obligatory transfer list will be placed in the first available position for which they are qualified.
April 1 to May 31, 2013: Teacher Transfer WindowThis is the second of the two transfer windows. During the Teacher Transfer Window, current employees can apply for posted positions, and be considered along with prospective licensed candidates. Each position will be posted for three days only.

June 3, 2013: Open HiringCurrent and prospective employees can apply for posted positions. Each position will be posted until filled.
Aug. 6, 2013 Teacher Transfer Window ClosedThe teacher transfer window will close 10 days prior to New Teacher Orientation in compliance with District Policy.
