The District recognizes the value of a competent Educational Support Professional (ESP) staff to assist students and educators as part of one proactive educational system. Quality professional development at all levels supports effective instruction for students. The ESP Development Committee (ESPDC) arranges for training opportunities, conferences and can provide funding for individual professional development opportunities that may not have full or any funding through department budgets.
Each year we have different members of the committee step down and new members are selected. If you are interested in serving on this please see the list below as to the department representatives who will be replaced this year. If you work in an ESP position within Transportation, as a District Office Administrative Assistant, a Custodian anywhere in the district or for the Facilities department and you would like to be on this committee for the next two years please complete the application below and send it to Everett Perry in HR.
The Canyons School District is pleased to provide Professional Development to their ESP employees! Under this program, benefited employees may receive up to $300 and part time employees may receive up to $100 toward classes and conferences designed to improve your job related skills.
