The Teacher Resource Center
Located in the basement of the 300 East building (9361 South 300 East, Sandy, Utah)
Enter through doors on the south side of the building.
School Year Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7am - 6pm
Friday – 7am to 5pm
Everyone must check in at the Teacher Resource Center desk and show their ID badge before using the centers. For safety reasons no children under 12 years of age are allowed in the Teacher Resource Center. Only school and District projects may be done in the Teacher Resource Center. Employees should take personal or non-school related projects to libraries or outside printing firms.
Media and Audio Visual Department
The Media Center has thousands of videos, on hundreds of subjects to support curriculum in the classroom. We also have kits, trunks and other special materials to enhance classroom learning. They can be easily ordered on line by going to destiny.canyonsdistrict.org and searching the catalog. You may also call the media center at 801-826-5328 if you need assistance. We are happy to walk you through the ordering process until you are familiar with it.
Videos are checked out for five days and are delivered by district mail. Orders must be received by 3:30 pm for next day delivery.
The Audio Visual Department provides equipment for special programs. Microphones, spotlights, and sound systems may be reserved and picked up at our office located in the Teacher Resource Center.

We are adding new games and activities to enhance your students’ learning. Come in and let us help you get your classroom ready for the new school year. We have supplies and equipment to make colorful bulletin boards, posters, and decorations to make your classroom attractive and inviting. We have magnetic sheets, as well as fun foam that can be cut into shapes to create interesting projects for your students. Come and let us share fun ideas with you.
We remind you again that we have great videos to enhance any subject you teach. Math, science, history, social studies, and art are just a few of the subjects available on VHS or DVD. The entire Reading Rainbow series is available now on DVD and VHS. Bill Nye has presentations on any science subject. Students respond well to his upbeat style of teaching science concepts. We have several Ken Burns history programs including: The Civil War, The Brooklyn Bridge, The War, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Revolution – The story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony.
