Canyons District’s Office of Communications supports and promotes the District by providing accurate and timely information to employees and the public.
What We Do
The Office of Communications serves as an information resource for employees, schools and the larger community. The two chief communications officers represent and serve as the spokespeople for the District Administration and the Board of Education to the public and media and to promote district- and school-based events.
The Communications Department is responsible for the District logo, Web site and for assisting schools on Web site presentation. The department also conducts customer service audits and trainings; designs, writes and edits all newsletters and promotional collateral; oversees the content of the District's official social media sites; and responds to public information requests. The Communication Department, which is the in-house event-planning agency, also is responsible for facilitating internal communications, including the in-development-stages CSD intranet.
