The projects of secondary-school students who are vying for Science Fair awards will be judged from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Wednesday, Feb. 22. The public is invited to see the projects on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jordan High School, 95 E. Beetdigger Blvd.
Winners of all grade levels will be announced at a 7 p.m. ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Mt. Jordan Middle School, 9360 S. 300 East.
The projects vary in size, scope and complexity. Some students have been working for several months on the projects, which explore issues in environmental science, biology, engineering, microbiology, chemistry and physics.
Judges evaluate the projects with the scoring rubric of the Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair.
