Canyons District is among the first in the United States to pilot the “Face to Faith” program, founded and overseen by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.
Participants in the optional program will learn about the world’s faiths, traditions and beliefs in part by interacting with students around the globe.
Face to Faith aims to promote cultural literacy and respect and to spark dialogue about global issues. The District is in the planning stages, which will include meetings with School Community Councils at participating schools. The program, which will employ such technology as video conferencing to facilitate the international conversations, is expected to be at Brighton and Hillcrest high schools this winter.
